Applied online. The process was fast and well communicated. Excellent conversation with recruiter and hiring manager. Panel interview was odd. Understandable when interviewers are unavailable and request your interview to be recorded. Fine. However, when interviewers have their camera off was unexpected and threw me off. It was impossible to figure out the nonverbal communications which may give you clues about the direction of the interview. Positive? Negative? Do I see myself working with them as peers or internal collaborators? The questions were scripted. With my camera on it felt as an interrogation shinning a bright light directly on your eyes, so you couldn't see across the room reactions. Technical questions were verbal, closed book. No chance for a quick view on your notes.
