I applied online. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee in Jan 2017
Interview
I was notified 2 weeks after applying, that they are interested in an interview with me. I responded that I was interested, and with a week or so I was scheduled for a telephone interview. After I passed that, I was scheduled in for an in person interview. What I thought the position was, and the qualifications they were looking for was in a way different then the type of questions they asked. They were pressing me to see if I had done other types of immigration work (work on lets say green card applications, immigrations benefits processing, etc) when I specifically stated on my application that I worked on N-400 applications. Yet, I thought I was able to answer the questions thoughtfully. What disturbed me was the professionalism. It was a lacked back office. The interviewers did not dress professionally in jeans? Furthermore, in the middle of the interview, I was interrupted! After completing my interview, I didn't hear back after a month. I called and still no response. While I understand that Trump's immigration ban did play a part in the delay in response.. I was patiently waited and then called the main interviewer and she told me that she had no "idea" and this became frustrating for me. Finally after three months, I found out via an email that I was not selected to be a candidate for advancement in the interview process for the position.

Interview
I had a first interview with a recruiter, then an interview with two caseworkers/supervisors from the immigration team. Both were pretty typical, friendly interviews just covering my experiences, interest, etc. They asked for references after the second interview.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee (Silver Spring, MD) in Jan 2018
Interview
the interview was super easy just wet over your resume. Just express how much you would love to work there and you should be good. Must be able to pay attention to close details and be able to communicate with clients. So you need to be a quick learner.
