It was pretty awkward and poorly organised overall. The manager seemed very stressed out the entire time. I got the job but declined the offer due to the interview experience. Would not recommend at all.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J D Wetherspoon (Norwich, England) in Aug 2017
Interview
Got asked a couple of standard interview questions, then just had a normal chat really. It's more seeing if you're a normal person who's willing to work. Just spoke about personal interests, sports, and how uni was going.
The interview was pretty smooth; The questions were totally relevant to the role, and it was obvious that the interviewer had high expectations for a minimum salary. The interviewer was very nice and patient while asking the questions.

Question 1
How many years of experience do you have in hospitality and serving alcoholic beverages, and what led you to apply for a role at Wetherspoons?
easy. more like a chat than an interview. got to know the deputy manager and they gave me a tour of the pub. overall was a nice experience until i started working there
