The process took 1 day. I interviewed at JCPenney in Nov 2011
Interview
I got a call weeks after applying asking if I was still interested in a position there, scheduled an interview. I dressed nicely and the store manager ended up interviewing me. She complemented my appearance and said people walk in wearing jeans all the time and she says that will make her not hire them right away. She REALLY took a liking to me and kept asking if I ever took any interview classes because my communication skills were so good for my age. It was very relaxed and it was kind of like talking to a friend, went over my availability and I asked her a few questions. Went great and I got the job!
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
