      Warehouse Manager Interview

      Apr 1, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Flemington, NJ
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Johanna Foods (Flemington, NJ) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I applied through Indeed and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone screen. I was then invited onsite to meet with a peer and the Plant Director. Both conversations were relaxed and engaging, and I left with a strong impression of the team and could see myself working there. During this visit, I requested a plant tour to better understand the operation, but was told tours were not conducted, which felt unusual for an operations role. About a week later, I returned for a round with the Plant VP and HR VP and completed DISC and personality assessments onsite (about 90 minutes). The Plant VP interview was brief and somewhat disengaged, while the HR VP interview was more structured. Combined, these interviews lasted about an hour. After another week, I had a final Zoom interview with the company president. This portion felt less conventional, with several personal questions (e.g., upbringing and family life) that didn’t seem directly related to the role, along with additional on-the-spot personality evaluation. I ultimately received an offer. I negotiated a small increase (requested 5%, received 2%) and accepted. As part of the pre-employment process, I was required to complete a physical and drug test. The physical included elements I did not expect for this type of role, such as a testicular exam, which felt unusual. Prior to my start date, I withdrew after receiving another opportunity that better aligned with my goals.
