The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis Partnership (Stratford-upon-Avon, England) in Sep 2025
Interview
Online process and time limited for answering. Designed to see if you "fit in". I answered all the questions and in my opinion there was nothing that would flag me as not fitting in, but no offer for face to face interview.
It was very friendly and felt more like a conversation. It was an enjoyable process that was very simple and fast moving. My interviewers seemed very kind. I would recommend applying there.

Interview
Arrived at Magna Park 1 warehouse in Milton Keynes, HR office area literally smelled like urine, panel of 2 seemed friendly, however they asked me some questions that were not on the list of 'published interview questions' as anticipated. Whilst I was able to answer these, the lady had never even heard of 'Power Bi', they use google sheets. The way they beat around the bush about the role seemed like they wanted to hire someone internally - I was an external candidate. 3 weeks after the interview and after asking for feedback twice, they ghosted me. This is the type of behaviour that makes JL's spiel of having a great culture, of 'being a partner', 'behavioural competencies' seem like nonsense. It isn't that hard to provide feedback to candidates as a basic courtesy.
