I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Leicester, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
Entirely group based, no one to one contact. Somewhat impersonal. Essentially an extension of the online assessment, it can feel a little informal in the moment, so the onus is on the participant to stand out with their answers in a room of 11 people.
The questions published online were unhelpful.

Question 1
Frustrated customers are waiting to pick up their parcels in a queue. There are not enough people on tills. Another customer comes up to you with a broken plate asking if there are any more in stock. What do you do?

Interview
It was a group activity interview where they assess how well you work and discuss ideas with others. The only challenge was that most people had the same points to make, so it could be hard to stand out. I took part and contributed to the discussion, but it felt like they were looking for people who spoke more and were more noticeable in the group.

Interview
group interview with like 15 people. lasted 30 mins was bad and didnt give chance to ask personal questions, wouldnt recommend if you arent willing to speak up ALOT in front of many many people

Interview
Quite swift! We were called for a group interview. Randomly, we were assigned a table. We met a few floor managers, and were asked a few scenarios. Best action is to let seniors speak first, then contribute your answers.
