Interview
My interview experience was fairly standard until after the second round. At that point, I was asked to complete an ‘interview assignment’ that appeared to require 10-15 hours of unpaid work. The task appeared to involve creating multiple revisions of their current email campaigns with very specific instructions to align with their value proposition and service offering.
Given that this was for a part-time contract role without benefits, I felt the assignment was unusually extensive. I also noticed that the job had been posted for over a month with over 100 applicants, which made me question whether the position was genuinely open or if the assignment was part of a different agenda. Of course, this is just my personal perspective based on my experience and observations, but it left me feeling uncertain about the company's intentions regarding the hiring process.
