I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at KAIAM (Livingston, Scotland) in Aug 2018
Interview
Utterly mismanaged process. The company had "presumed" I applied for the development engineer position when I did not. The recruiter contacted me for an interview of Wire bond engineer while Kaiam had no idea of this. I was interviewed on phone for wire bond engineer and was then called on site for a position that I did not apply for! Had I known this, I would never have gone for interview.
We are sorry your candidate experience wasn't as positive as it could have been. Given we had multiple open roles when you applied we wanted to ensure you were considered for all suitable roles, not just the Wire Bond Engineer. That said, clearly we could have managed the communications with you better. We wish you well in your job search.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at KAIAM (Newark, CA)
Interview
Started with site tour first, then presentation for group of people, following very tight schedule with meeting 10 people one-on-one. Sandwich for the lunch during which the interview had been continued one-on-one with director. people were friendly. Some were saying that they would like to study from me and was going to study right away; other people (mainly, junior engineers) just described what they are doing and had been asking one-two simple questions that I answered.
