My resume was submitted by a recruiter. I had an initial conversation/resume go-through with the MD of the team. Was called back for in-person with other MDs in NYC that went well. All indications were that there would be a decision after the hiring MD returned from vacation. That was two months ago and I'm still waiting. All email inquiries are ignored

HR replied to my application and asked for availability and their calendar was fully booked. I booked the first slot and had a really good chat with them.
Later on I realised that wasn’t even a round of interview. He then sent the CVs to hiring manager to shortlist candidates and I wasn’t shortlisted. Why is my time less valuable than the hiring manager and I spent an hr talking to someone who has no re at my selection??
It took 2 weeks to get notified by an automated email that I wasn’t selected.
