Ladders Editor-In-Chief interview questions

Phone call with recruiter first. After that, I️ was invited in for an in-person interview to meet with three people: editorial director, senior recruiter, CEO. I️ was in the office for over two hours and all conversations went extremely well. Was told as I️ was leaving that next steps would be a “in-depth interview” which confused me because what would you call the past two plus hours? The recruiter gave me a timeline; it came and went and he never got back to me as promised, so I️ followed up with him. We scheduled a call and he let me know that they really liked me, etc but that they’re going to continue the search. Never heard from anyone again. And last I️ checked, they’re still trying to hire for the role so my guess is that they don’t really have a clue what they’re looking for.
