      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lamar Advertising in Feb 2023

      Interview

The interview process itself was great. Their follow up, or lack thereof is what pulls my rating down. 2 weeks after submitting my application, I received a phone call asking if I was still interested in the position and if they could set up a virtual interview. An interview was scheduled for the following week, they were fairly flexible with my availability and we communicated via email up until the interview. The first interview was with a hiring manager and the sales manager. It went smoothly, they asked mostly canned questions and a few questions about a couple of items on my resume. At the end, they asked for a reference list - which I provided the same day and stated they had a couple of other candidates they were interviewing. A few days later I was emailed about coming in for an in person interview. That was set about a week and a half after the first one. That one seemed to go smoothly as well. It was with the same hiring manager, sales manager, and a territory manager. I was told at that interview that they were hoping to have the chosen candidate start just over two weeks after that date and I told them that date would be a good start date for me. I emailed the next day thanking them for their time and told them they could reach out with any further questions. Then again a few days later to check on the status. Then a couple of days after that, I called to check on the status. I have yet to hear anything back from either form of communication. The entire interviewing process was very professional and smooth, but leaving a candidate unanswered is very unprofessional in my opinion. It’s worse to feel like you did something wrong if in reality it just wasn’t a good fit on their end. I don’t believe they have filled the position, as the job is still posted.

      Sales and Campaign Coordinator Interview

      Nov 30, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Proctor, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Lamar Advertising (Proctor, MN) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Applied online. Received a call from the manager a couple of weeks later to set up an in person interview. The actual interview was pretty standard with standard questions. He told me he would be out the following week so I wouldn't hear anything for a couple of weeks. I never heard anything the week he stated so the following week after that I followed up via email (I had his direct email from when we set up my interview) and still have not heard back and that was on Oct 30 2018. Something in the recruiting process needs to change. I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere assuming that I didn't get it. Even a simple rejection email would suffice. A lot of people put time and energy in applying and interviewing and it's ridiculous to get ghosted.
