I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LanguageLine Solutions in Dec 2021
Interview
Was sent a link to do a timed assessment (translation Spanish>English) on memoq (software I'm unfamiliar with). There was a bug. After trying to log in the system multiple times it was difficult to navigate (both spell check and grammar tools was disabled and the spacing was off). Had to rely on old fashioned proof reading with eyes. Got results immediately. Was surprised my submission was rejected due to three spelling mistakes out of 250 words and a double space in one sentence. My mastery/ability to accurately translate technical Spanish into English seemed irrelevant to management. Their priorities are bewildering- all my errors were linked to problems with the software. The aim of an assessment is to test language knowledge!

Interview
I had received an offer previously after interviewing with languageline but something personal had come up where I wasn’t able to communicate by phone call with them that I wouldn’t be able to but I did send multiple emails. At some point, I did receive a response from someone that I would be welcome to reapply in the future which I did. I took them for their word and ended up applying later and landed another interview Problem here The interviewer had immediately a big attitude with me even via email and that showed more on the day of the actual interviewer. Judged me for not having a resume sent into him in time, I wasn’t really able to make a new one on time but however the first time there was no requirement to send my resume. Then he followed on judging me and making me feel bad for not being able to follow through with work the first time and that I didn’t communicate with them- wrong, I sent multiple emails. Then proceeded to judge me and telling me “ you’re not serious about this, I’m ending the interview .”and proceeded to say he wasn’t going to waste his time when he wasted mine too. It was blatantly obvious with how rude he was from the beginning that he was never interested in hiring me again and just wanted to judge me for the past. Clear unprofessional idk and also sent an email to languageline about it and never received a reply. If they were never interested in rehiring me, they should have never given me another interview to judge me and waste my time as well by making me feel awful.
