Interview process was easiest as I have seen in my career(surprisingly no coding question asked), Just 2 rounds of technical rounds and followed by HR discussions.
I got a call from consultancy regarding the job, it looked interesting as it was from my base location Kolkata. First technical round was over phone, it was more into object oriented software design.. I don't exactly remember questions. Something like - difference between interface and abstract class which one u will use when...what will u do if you need to add one method to an interface? Some question on design pattern. Got confirmation next day morning and scheduled 2nd round. Second round of technical discussion (over google hangout)was with manager, product owner and QA person it was kind of discussion about my roles and responsibility, problem solving approach, testing scenarios... it was really professional discussion where manager gave me overview about work with enough details. That was it...so simple. Next HR round(so far I never faced hr discussion other than salary negotiation), it was more of what they can provide me and what i am expecting in terms of technical and official environment...they were trying to see if we have any misunderstanding
Final part was offer, they were very fast in offering me. They did not gave any hike as I was already well paid compared to kolkata location... but offer was pretty decent with most of the salary part was fixed and very small part 10% was variable. Offer was good for kolkata location.
Unfortunately I had to turn down the offer as company is going through acquisition period, most of the company follows LIFO while firing people, I don't want to be part of uncertain ship again for 6 months... i already crossed acquisition phase in my current company...so I don't want stressful time again. I wish to apply for it again in future when things are stable in lexmark.
