Most bizarre and unorganized interview process I have ever been through.
First round - 3 simple arrays and link list question, expected to finish in 15 mins, I mean seriously? Follow up discussion with one of the team members, I got a lot of information from him about day-to-day work and at that point, it sounded good opportunity.
Second round - This round mostly revolved around technical design and application architecture from my previous projects. I specifically asked for what role I am being interviewed for.
HR Discussion - Lifion Team have two roles
a) Lifion Application Developer
b) Lifion Platform Developer
I specifically tried to clarify what role I am being interviewed for and mentioned my expectation, HR straightaway mentioned that they cannot meet my expectations, it would have saved everyone's time if she should have asked this before even processing my profile.
After some discussion she scheduled my interview with Director and Senior Director.
Interview with Big Boss - I am certainly sure he was pre-determined and interview was just formality. Pre-determined because of my expectations and role I am looking for. For sake of taking interview he gave me design question and asked me to draw on board, well "Alert!!!!" they do not have working marker pens in office, the one I got was barely visible. Somehow I managed to draw and explain something. He asked me another question and again I had to write on board, Bravo Genius!!! with invisible ink I wrote something.
Well now as the formality of interviewing was over (on clock 10 mins) he said he went through my resume and can offer me unwanted role with completely BS reason. You already had my resume and in all the previous rounds I specifically mentioned what role I am looking for, so why in the world you called me for an interview? Upon asking further question with all his arrogance he literally showed me an exit door.
To HR – PLEASE DO NOT WASTE CANDIDATE’S TIME. Screen profile and expectations before scheduling any interview rounds. If you cannot meet expectations DO NOT CONDUCT FAKE INTERVIEWS and try to humiliate candidates, just because you cannot meet their expectations.
