I attended an interview on November 3, 2009; it went very well and at the conclusion, I was told the pay banding on offer and asked what salary I would expect. Subsequent to that, I had a call from the agent and was asked if there was any flexibility on salary; I was aware there was another equally strong candidate. I advised the agent that I would drop a certain percentage and waited to hear back in the few days promised.
After a long silence, I chased the agent and was informed that the interviewing manager and Head of Engineering, Trueman Hart, was off with swine flu and that they would get back to me. On November 27, I contacted the agent again and was told that he had returned to work.
I never heard from the agent or from Lister-Petter again.
Best avoided altogether.
