I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Edmonton, AB) in Jul 2013
Interview
Received a phone call from a lady that asked some questions regarding my background. She scheduled an in-store interview with an assistant manager. No one informed him of the interview and he was surprised when I showed up, but based on my performance, I was brought back two days later for a final interview and job offer with the store manager.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing too difficult or unusual. Most questions regarding how to handle different customer expectations. Based on my experience, however, the management didn't bother to ask me form questions, just discuss my personal experience in the field.
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
Straight forward normal interview had questions about how I'd manage x amount of team members with x amounts of experience. but overall very basic interview with only differing questions on management styles/policy guidelines.
They wanted me to drool a little bit but that's not my style so they dismissed me as a serious candidate. They also expressed concern that I would not "be happy" there even though I thought I would.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in May 2021
Interview
They were situational questions. Tell me about a time. There was about 5 total questions that were asked. Overall the interview questions were easy, they are looking for someone who can be a problem solver, team player, and adaptable.
