I applied online. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Nashua, NH) in Sep 2010
Interview
You are asked to take a computer quiz first before coming in for interview that consists of about 50 questions. You are given scenarios of retail situations and asked how you should respond. Then, you may or may not be called for an interview with the HR manager. If they like you, you will move on to interviewing with the store manager or an assistant manager. Lastly, you will need to pass a drug test where they basically just swab your cheek.

I can't remember any specific questions but it would be beneficial to look up some generic retail questions and fake scenarios before going in for the interview. There is a specific retail etiquette that I was not familiar with.

Interview
If you pass the online testing, you proceed to the interview. It was a 2 person panel interview. The Specialty ASM & the HR person. All situation questions. I was notified by phone and mail that I was being offered the position. I had to pass a background and on site drug screen. Drug screen is cheek cell test. Not urine. There is no way to cheat on this type of test.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (North East, MD) in Oct 2019
Interview
Outstanding. Very timely and attentive. A real professional approach to candidate interviews. As soon as I filled out the on line application, I hand carried my resume into the location "just to see if I could meet the hiring manager" and there he was. A handshake is so much better than a resume!
