I applied online. I interviewed at Lush (Telford, England) in Sep 2017
Interview
1) You need to create a really unique cover letter which allows your personality to shine through, and let them know a bit about you while also telling them why you'd be good working there.
2) If they like your cover letter you get invited to a big group interview where you have to really stand out from the other 20 so people in whatever tasks they give you which vary store to store. Very useful to know about the products plus company ethics at this stage! We had to make an ethical campaign and present it, then sell a gift box, then demonstrate a product.
3) If you did well in the group interview you will be invited to a trial shift. It's really important to do as many demonstrations of the products as possible and talk to lots of people and be really friendly. Also product knowledge will again be really useful here but if you don't know ask the staff as it looks really bad if you give the customer wrong information. It usually lasts for about an hour and a half, plus if you get the job they pay you for it plus give you a free lush product at the end!
my first ever job interview and it was pretty chill. There was first a group interview where you had to present a product in groups, and then you were taken aside for a short one to one interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Lush (Reading, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
You have to fill in an application form. Make sure you sound extroverted and cheerful. Don't list a bathbomb as your favourite product - because it's lazy.
They test you in a carousel sort of fashion, one example is that they test your ability to sell body lotion and massage it into a potential customers skin and how you would demo a bathbomb (call everyone over and explain its properties). Do your research, be extroverted, don't be afraid to touch people.
