      Serangoon,
      No offer
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MUFG (London, England) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Short and extremely intrusive. The reviews on glassdoor are a 100% true, the CEO is known for his strange personal questions and you will be caught off guard. I believe he does this to see how you will react. No technical questions were asked, nothing about my work experience or how well I performed in my previous job. Judging from the interview, I can tell Ray is looking for someone with a struggling background, someone who is willing to slog and work hard for the money in his company. Nothing wrong with that, but you will have to accept this job knowing that there will be serious micro-managing from his part and your eventual business manager. I've heard many a horror stories from this organisation.. I left the interview feeling strange and disoriented by his questions. Be prepared to be thrown off guard and puzzled once you leave the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What does you mother and father do? What does your mother think about your worst traits? What does your father think is your good quality? What is your expected pay? Why were you paid this much in your previous job?

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at MUFG (Serangoon, )

      Interview

Be aware of the name difference when you are offered an interview. There is a department called Mitsubishi UFJ International Trust ("MUTI") under Mitsubishi UFJ group. This MUTI has two locations- London and Singapore. I was approached by a headhunter to interview for fixed income institutional sales role under MUTI's Singapore office. Interview was conducted via video conferencing with their London based CEO. If you read other interview reviews below on fixed income sales, you will find that almost everyone mentioned about this CEO guy. He asked lots of personal questions about my family, my parents' jobs etc. After given the answer that my parents are retired, he still continued to ask what they did before retirement. And the personal questions continues till the end of the short 15-minutes interview. Zero technical knowledge is asked, zero market knowledge is asked and zero answers from him when I asked about how the company and sales desk setup(mind you that it seems MUTI is different from the Mitsubishi UFJ bank). He was the most unprofessional interviewer I have ever met in my banking career.

      Question 1

Tell me about your parents and what they do? So what did they do before their retirement? Zero technical questions, all personal questions.

      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MUFG (New York, NY) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Interview process for Mitsubishi UFJ Trust international (MUTI). Event-based. A short simple game was played to assess candidates on their suitability for the firm. Staff present were very warm and welcoming. The same cannot be said for the CEO, Ray Winters, who was disrespectful and condescending.
