I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Magna International (Joliet, IL)
Interview
It was a panel-interview with engineers from each department within the company. 7 or 8 people, so it was intimidating at first, but it was a very relaxed environment. I was overdressed. Everyone was in jeans and polos. The interview was your basic behavioral interview and lasted about 20 minutes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is an example of a time you had conflict with a coworker and how did you resolve it?
The interview was long but organized. I spoke with the hiring manager, HR, and two technical positions (separately) for a total of about 3 hours. The interview itself was not intense, though.

Question 1
Nothing out of the ordinary, just about my engineering experiences in college, skills and abilities, traits as a worker, etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at Magna International (Auburn Hills, MI)
Interview
Asked questions about Kalman filter, PID control, and finally a simple C++ coding session to test my understanding of classes & inheritance . The interview was one stage and lasted 45 minutes.
Prefers in person to online interviews. Usually multiple interviewers. Not typically technical questions, mostly behavioural. Memorize your resume, they will have read through it in detail by the interview. A strong handshake and good eye contact will go far.
