The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MaxLinear
Interview
A total of three technical rounds and an informal lunch cum hr round were conducted.
First was an introduction and general cv review procedure with the interviewer trying to give a overall picture of the work being done at the same time trying to assess candidate's suitability by asking oblique questions.
What was striking in the second and third rounds was that the interviewers were ill prepared to ask properly defined questions. They kept stressing on the same questions and were trying to elicit answers they wanted to hear and seemed stressed out themselves.
Guess it was due to the stress they were working under they did not have time to spare for the interview :-)
HR round was mainly to assess how long can the candidate "stretch" his working hours based on previous work history.

Interview
The interview was good, I answered every question, interviewers were smart, but had to decline the offer because the HRs made a bad deal and refused to connect me to the hiring managers, they used a classic strategy i told a number 6x, they said they can only pay 5x and made me agree to 5.3x, I accepted the deal so that I can resign early and accepted a much better deal and rejected maxlinear, glassdoor says they well, but I am very disappointed
