First interview was an informal chat, followed by a second interview with 4 personnel. The second stage included specific preparation work for a presentation about how you would manage one of their products. The second stage interviews were all carried out on one day with three candidates being called back. The interviews were very rushed and included a 10 minute slot for the presentation.
My thoughts about the whole process were that the company did not really know what they wanted. It was certainly odd to have a product manager reporting to the sales as opposed to the marketing director. I felt they would looking for a product manager that would essentially be an extension of the sales team.
Following the interview process I noticed that the posts were readvertised ......
I have no bad feelings about the process, but I do feel it was a waste of time to attend the company for two interviews for both parties. In the future I would suggest they use telephone or Skype.
