I applied online. I interviewed at Meetingmax (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
Went through 2 rounds of interviews. The first round was over the phone and the second round was at their office with the CEO. The questions for the second round was a bit invasive since they ask a lot about your personal life and not as much about the position itself.

Question 1
Tell me something bad you've experienced in your childhood.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meetingmax (Vancouver, BC) in Dec 2019
Interview
Unique and personal interview process. There were three rounds of interviews with questions I haven't heard at other interviews before. They make an effort to get to know who you are at your core, which takes time.

Question 1
What does ridiculously remarkable service mean to you.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meetingmax (Vancouver, BC) in May 2018
Interview
Phone interview went well. Called for in person interview with the CEO. The worst interview I have ever experienced. I would never accept a job in this company, don't let the slippers fool you, there is no comfort level.

Question 1
Wanted to know everything about about my personal life since I was born. Absolutely inappropriate!
Tell me a bad experience, something bad in your childhood, tell me something bad about your teenage years and so on. Totally put on the spot and sets you up for failure. Even you you don't answer these questions, they invokes memories that you may not want to surface during a job interview. This has no relevance to any QA job.
Asked for manager/supervisor names from the beginning of time. Really, I'm should remember the first and last name of my supervisor from 2000?
Thank you for your feedback regarding your interview.
In our experience, we have found that obtaining a deep understanding of each candidate's background allows us to identify which candidates will be most successful in our organization.
This involves asking questions about candidates’ education, early years and work history in order to better understand how these experiences have shaped them into the person that they are today.
We recognize that this might be different from the interview process at other companies, but we do it to ensure that the person we hire is right for the role and that the role is right for that person.
We thank you for your interest in working with Meetingmax and wish you all the best in the future.
