The process: Recruiter screening then a hiring manager then a technical interview then an HR/exec meeting. I got to the hiring manager meeting.
I thought the meeting went well. I had a nice conversation with the manager and my experiences fit exactly what they were looking for. There was a week gap because the hiring manager was off for the following week, then a week went by without any communication so I kinda moved on. Then the recruiter texted me this week to say that they weren’t moving forward because they “wanted more database experience”. Right then I knew it was a BS answer because my resume and experience were nothing BUT database experience, which did make me chuckle a bit. More importantly I realized that this was not the company or the team to work with.
At least there was a feedback, I guess!
