I went through two rounds of interviews. My first interviewer told me the expectation was working 50-60 hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. I explained I did not work weekends but was open to working longer days as needed to support the mission. In my second interview, I was asked vague questions about how “hard” I would work and how open I was to “working hard.” Aside from that, the second interview was more focused on how my previous employer handled recruiting, asking me what questions we asked, what we assessed for, what our dealbreakers were, how we tracked our candidates, and more. The interviewer seemed more focused on getting insider information into how a competitor works versus actually getting to know me and my skill set. I received a rejection a few days after that.
