I had to take a written exam followed by an interview with a panel of 5 people. After the interview, someone from HR came down to say that they lost my written exam and could I take it again. I had driven 5 hours to the interview, so I wasn't pleased, but I of course obliged. I later spoke to a former supervisor who informed me that sometimes community colleges do such things to see how you react/perform under duress.
