I went through 2 rounds of interviews. The first was a phone screening and then an in-person interview. In the intial phone screen, the recruiter mentioned that there were lots of opportunity for growth in the role however when I got to my in-person interview they emphasized that there would not be growth in the position unless someone senior left, and that most people at the company have a long tenure. In addition, one if the interviewers (Billing Manager) was texting on her phone during the interview which made me feel neglected during the process. The man (Billing Supervisor) in the interview also had a confused facial expression the entire interview which made me uncomfortable speaking. I am very sensitive to facial cues and when he began making those expressions, I lost all confidence in myself. They also forgot to schedule the 2nd round interview and I had to remind them about it. Another point I wanted to make was that I had to take an Excel screening test before moving forward to the 2nd round. Overall, the interview process did not feel genuine and I also felt like the interviewer was trying to discourage me from the position.
