First, I applied on its website.
After 4 days I got a call from HR manager. Very nice, friendly lady. It's more like a casual chat. She wants to make sure I want the job. After the call, she arranged me a Skype interview 5 days later with the members of that centre.
5 days later, I had this Skype interview with 4 people: a professor who is the director of this centre, an associate professor who I guess is the second in charge in this team, a senior advisor and the HR manager I contacted before. They've been very nice all the time trying not to make me feel nervous. Questions they asked are not difficult. You could find these background-oriented questions online easily and prepare before the interview, like"can you tell us a bit about yourself" and "how do you deal with colleagues who are not easy to get along with"...The interview lasted about 40- 50 minutes. Really long coz we've got some internet issue. I felt they asked all the questions in the question pool.
After the interview, I received an email from the HR asking me to do some translation test with in an hour. So I did it and sent it back.
One day later, I sent the HR an email saying thank you.
And then I never heard from them...it's been a month so far.... but this vacancy is still listed on their website... not sure what this means...
FYI: During the Skype interview, they did talk like you were in ! They said a lot like"we have a lot of contacts, so you need to do.." I felt that I was misled... a little bit...
