      Coffee Specialist Interview

      May 15, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Nespresso

      Interview

Interview was ok. I had 3 days training to learn about 24 grand crus and machines and membership. Passed knowledge test but when it comes to practical test, I simply made a mistake because i am nervous and was immediately marked as fail. The manager was very anal and strict. Apparently new part timers with only 3 days training and little role play are expected to perform very well and make zero mistake instead of learning and improving on the job. Zero chance given as soon as a small mistake is made regardless of how well you served customer or how hard you tried. Nobody's perfect and people make mistakes. Furthermore the mistake was out of nerves so you really do not need to go as far as to fail me. Nespresso is a bad working environment as I heard from other part timers and full timers there that they regret taking the job and want to quit because of the huge responsibility and inflexibility. Pls improve your nespresso employees' welfare not just your farmers. Wasted my time coming down for training. Should have known better.

      Interview

It was a pretty easy and relaxing interview. I was given a tour of the shop and then asked questions about what I know about Nespresso, their brand ambassadors, and their “ICAN” logo. I was also asked general questions about myself and the role I was in at the time.
