While the initial interview rounds were fairly standard and professional, the final interview with the CEO left a negative impression. The conversation was marked by a noticeable level of arrogance and a dismissive attitude toward differing perspectives. At times, the CEO adopted an adversarial tone, challenging responses not to probe for insight but in a way that felt emotionally invalidating and condescending.

Question 1
Tell us about a formative experience in your life?
I interviewed with the VP of Engineering and CEO, answering behavioral questions. After completing a take-home technical coding challenge, I advanced to the final round of interviews. The experience provided valuable insights into their expectations and culture.

Interview
I first applied for the scientist position and had to do 3 rounds of interviews, including working on their data and presentation of my results. Then, they said they will be in touch for next interview, but after 3 months of silence, they sent an email with NO! Then a month later they got back to me to do more interviews for the engineer position, and while I had already signed another offer, I wanted to see how they’re gonna do this time so I said yes. They told me I have to do an online test with an interviewer and when we started the interview, without any explanation of what this new position is, the guy started asking questions! So I asked him to first tell me what the job is so I can see if I’m even interested! After he explained, I asked him to now do the test, but instead he said I am such a great applicant and no need!!! And that they will get back to me for next step! But again another NO! I have gotten an offer from a multi trillion dollar company and another one from a multi billion dollar company and neither were like this! These guys are just so unprofessional and don’t know what they’re doing! And I don’t mean this for only their interview process but also as an expert in BCI! They have failed with so many products and after years of being an startup, they haven’t grown even a little bit or been able to sell at least one product! They were my safety net and I understand when people have to get a job, but if you don’t have to, DO NOT go there! For one thing, their newest product has EEG electrodes all around ear! There’s no brain there, to record any EEG signal, and I asked 5 different people there about that, and all of them just tried to evade responding!
