CEO (Eric Blue) conducted the first interview. He mostly asked about my previous experience and opinions on building out an engineering team in New Orleans. He told me he wanted me to talk to another team member and setup a second interview.
The CEO also conducted the second interview and never mentioned another team member again. This interview was more about the product and mostly the CEO showing me product documentation and financial projections. Very few questions.
CEO then sent me an offer letter, allowed me to quit my then current job, requested to move my start date, and then ghosted me. Prior to accepting the job, there were inconsistencies in his story, but I ignored them, assuming it was a startup and he was very busy. We had virtual meetings and he even sent me more product documentation up until he abruptly cut communication. He claimed he was in Oman and was having difficulty returning because of the conflict in Iran.
Since then I visited the local office location listed as his address on LinkedIn and it didn't exist. I spoke with his pre-seed investor who gave him a poor recommendation for problems similar to those mentioned in the company reviews here. I even contacted the State Department to find him in Oman and they said it was a scam.
Do not accept a job from Nevly or Eric Blue. He will offer you an incredible salary and benefits. It isn't real!
