I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nexamp (New York, NY) in Nov 2022
Single Interview with a recruiter. Did not pursue, recruiter attempted to push a role that I am overqualified for. The role is an applications engineer role which is deceptive based on the description.
- Interconnection of Energy Storage Projects?

first was a phone interview asking basic questions regarding background and interest. The second interview was more in-depth and tried to get a better idea of my understanding of the solar wold/ energy market itself.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Boston, MA
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nexamp (Boston, MA) in Sep 2022
I started the interview process hopeful about the position, but I unfortunately came to learn Nexamp was quite disorganized and unprepared to hire for this role. The whole process (4 interviews, a design exercise, and personality assessment) was pretty extensive considering they seemed eager to hire -- it took me 2.5 months from the initial call to when I was notified I did not get the job. They started the interview process right before several key members of the hiring team went OOO for several weeks, which stalled their communication and process greatly. While my conversations were generally nice and normal, they ended up switching the role they were hiring for at the last minute after 2+ months of waiting. It was clear the hiring team wasn't exactly sure what they wanted this new hire to be doing, and did not communicate with each other about how their new hire needed to be supported.
- Why do you want to work at Nexamp? What do you know about Nexamp? What is your experience with slide presentations? Can you explain your design choices in your exercise?

Interview process was quite lengthy, took over 3 weeks and interviews took at least one hour each (6 total). From the initial HR call I was very clear about my salary expectations. I was asked 4 times throughout the process if I was “sure” this was my base comp requirements. They obviously were not willing to reach my requirements, yet moved me along all the way until final round interviews. Here, they again asked me if I was “sure” this was my base comp. About one week later I received an email I would not be getting an offer, after spending 6+ hours interviewing for a job they knew they couldn’t meet my pay for.
- Do you have Experience with permitting and being the face of a project?

Applied online and was asked to interview a few weeks later. Had a phone interview with recruiter for about 30 minutes. They emailed about a week later to let me know they wouldn’t be moving forward with my application.
- Why do you want to make work for us?
- Why are you changing industries?

Process was very smooth and painless. Less than two weeks between the phone screen and receiving an offer. They were very responsive and clear with next steps after each stage of the process. Initial phone screen followed by two virtual interviews. First with the director of accounting and second a three part interview with two members of the accounting team and an HR rep.
- Explaining processes from my past experience and how they relate to the role

Anonymous Interview Candidate

Had one interview and then was told there would be a follow-up. I sent a thank you email and was told again there would be a follow-up but then was ghosted.
- The majority of the interview is explaining something over the phone.

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nexamp in Feb 2022
Initial, technical, 3 video interviews. offer. I had mentioned I would like a remote work option throughout the entire interview process and was offered the position onsite at the end and asked if it could be remote which seemed well received by the team as most were already doing this. I was notified they extended an offer to someone else even though my remote work environment was a preference.
- general experience and role. Basically, was focused on who could do the best on the technical exam. Which was very simple
