Northwind interview questions

Three interviews. The first was over the phone, the second was a panel interview with friendly managers. The third and final interview from hell was with an executive. This executive was blatantly sexist and spent the entire interview alternating between trying to talk me down to sweatshop wages, prodding for information on my relationship status, and asking me about my reproductive plans. Other companies were thrilled with my experience and I ended up with four offers the week I was given an offer with Northwind alone. In my entire life, I have never been left with such a horrible taste in my mouth. The interview started with the executive and I making small talk about the weather. I said I shoveled the driveway that morning and he asked didn’t I have a man to help me with that. He remarked on my complexion and colouring and asked about my background. He said he would hire me but spent a great deal of time talking about how I don’t know their specific product yet so I wouldn’t be able to walk in to a livable salary. Rather, they would start me at 10k less and see how fast I learn…. I guess they were expecting someone to walk in the door with innate knowledge of your system? And 10 years of using competing systems isn’t enough? …Right The question that had me almost in tears in embarrassment was when I planned on having children. He said I would definitely have a place there, as though this made the question okay, but needed to know about when I wanted to have children so to know where to place me and how to plan. Having someone in a leadership position who might have children soon would be a problem. I swear to God this happened, and he pushed and pushed despite me saying I was single. I mentioned that I was single at least four times during this interview and he STILL pushed to know when I might have children with my non-existent partner. I am mad at myself for saying at least not for 4 or 5 years. He is slimy and awful and I recommend women stay far away.
