Obsidian Group interview questions

Once I applied I got an interview right away. I came in the next day (I travelled over 100km to the office to interview, keep this in mind) at 9am. I interviewed with “HR” which took all of 10 minutes. I drove over 2 hours for what could have been a phone call. After that, I proceeded to the 2nd interview the following week. Again, another 2hr commute. This interview was with a random person who I never actually ended up working with in the end. Maybe took 25mins. My 3rd interview (another 2 hr commute) was with who would be my manager and was actually very constructive, and well lead. I thought for sure, this has to be it! Nope. The next week, I got a call back for. Another. Interview. I meet with one of the higher ups, nice guy but he spent an hour talking and I didn’t get a word in. Not much of an interview. I thought for sure NOW this has to be done! It ended well! Not even a week later, I get another. Interview. 5 INTERVIEWS. I thought “must be the CEO.” Nope. Same guy as interview #3. And he asked the exact same questions he did in the 3rd interview, which a) he could have kept notes or b) just give me a phone call. This company does not believe in any phone communication essentially, but if you don’t pick up the phone as soon as they call you get questioned as to if you’re actually serious about them.

I would pass on this opportunity. They ghosted me, and I later noticed they reposted the same job five months later. It felt like a total waste of time. For a breakdown, I received an interview invite a few weeks after applying. The invite didn’t provide much information about who I would be interviewing with, so I had to follow up for details. The interview itself was conducted over the phone and lasted about 15-30 minutes. However, it seemed like the interviewer was unprepared and uninterested in the meeting. They only asked basic questions, and I got the impression they were more focused on my salary expectations. And they didn't give me a chance to ask them any questions, to confirm this is a good opportunity for me. [Note: their salary is not competitive, which is likely why it was not mentioned in the job posting]. Overall, I did not get an offer, and it appears they may have ghosted other candidates as well, given that I saw the job posted again months later.
