The interview was remote. I was sent a small project just to compile and run to make sure my setup was good for the interview. At the start of the interview they sent me the real project. It was one of those brainteaser algorithm problems where it can be easily solved after an aha moment. This is an industry wide phenomena. I don't think these questions are the best to evaluate candidates but alas this is what's used frequently. Apparently this one is popular I just never saw it before. I felt silly after I looked up the question I felt like I should have thought of the answer. It is marked as medium on LC, hard on GFG. I did write a working brute force solution. Overall everything else was pretty good they were nice, good camera setup, etc. Got a good feel for the culture even in that short time so that was good.
