I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Optimity (New York, NY) in Jun 2012
Interview
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience to visit the office and see how the firm works. There were about 4 different managers and above that I met with who all worked in different industries. The interviews were generally behavioral and were more of a conversation than an interview. At the end of the interviews we all had lunch.

Interview
Had an interview with folks in the office, and then with some others in other offices. Case interview was boiler plate. Overall great experience. I'd do it again it was a good expereince!

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Optimity (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
I did a first round interview on a college campus then super day. First round was basic questions about my experience/background and interest in consulting. Super Day included multiple rounds with different interviewers with all behavioral and one case study.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Optimity (Washington, DC)
Interview
The process began with an employee referral, two phone interviews with Senior Associates and 5 short in-person interviews with Managers/Partners (including a short, highly quantitative case). Overall, the process was generally informal and conversational; I felt like they were really trying to get to know me vs ask me pre-prepared behavioral questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked for a narrative summary of my resume, a few standard behavioral questions (tell me about a time you... worked with a team to solve a problem, went above and beyond to resolve a client issue, etc), and a case. If you keep the conversation going, they'll adapt- no formal agenda or mandatory questions.
