      Store Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive in Jun 2018

      Interview

The initial interview was very professional but then I got the run around for a month. Finally they made me an offer for a different position that was insulting. When I politely refused and wished them the best I was hung up on. I’m glad I didn’t get the job. I walk by one of their stores daily and t appears that to be an effective manager you drink Starbucks Frappuccinos and watch sports center on your laptop.

      Interview

A Recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn to see if I was interested in an SM role. In the past, Peloton had offered me an ASM role and I kept up with the company, so I was excited to talk with them again. After a few LinkedIn messages, the recruiter asked for my email. The recruiter used a different email and we set up a phone call. She was about 7 minutes late to the call and in the middle, put me on hold to take another call. She referenced my application multiple times. Again, she reached out to me, I did not apply. The copy of my resume she had was a few years old, from the last time I talked to the company. It was very clear she did not prepare for our call and seemed disorganized. I provided her my availability for the second round and sent her an updated resume. Later on, she sent me times for a day I had already told her I wasn't available for. We eventually got a second interview set up, which she put as a video call. I told her I was unable to do video that day. This was not relayed to the manager I was meeting with and it caught him off guard, but he understood. The manager was great. He was respectful, polite and I enjoyed our conversation. The difference between the two I talked with was stark and it felt like talking to two different companies. The recruiter was very unprofessional and changed my opinion of the company. A second recruiter reached out, saying I was no longer being considered for the role.
