I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Philz Coffee
Interview
Philz interviews pretty much everyone who applies. I was interviewed by two different people- the first one seemed to be more about getting to know my personality, the second seemed more formal/business. The first interview was lovely, second was lackluster.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Philz Coffee (Palo Alto, CA)
Interview
Interview was super chill and gave a clear insight on job expectations. The company culture is great but the customers can be hit-or-miss (as with all food service jobs). The team is also a big plus - you make a lot of great friends and have opportunities to learn more about the business if you want to.
I applied on indeed and got an email a day later. From what I know they don’t use AI either. Recruiters were all super personable and helpful! They make the whole interview process really easy and comfortable. I’ve been able to maintain those connections throughout my time there.
Zoom interview with recruiter. Asking why you're interested in company, experience and availability. Emphasis on working there long term as they want new hires to stay at least 6 months but they want long term employees
