I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Phone.com (Newark, NJ) in May 2018
Interview
I interview at this place back in May 2018. The person that interviewed me was very arrogant. He was more concern about me doing freelancing during my free time, and finding out if I really got a Master's degree with a 3.9 GPA or NOT than getting to know me. He mentioned if you work for us, you need to stop doing freelancing on the side. Like since when you are going to tell people what they do on their time off. There were other weir questions like if I really worked with the stack mentioned on my resume. If I would've gotten an offer from this place, I will glad it decline it.

Question 1
I was asked what is the pythonic way of looping through a list of items?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Phone.com
Interview
Quick phone with some standard behavioral questions and a run through of some simple code in python to test basic knowledge. Did not receive any feedback after the initial phone call.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Phone.com (Newark, NJ) in Nov 2018
Interview
This was easily the worst interview I have ever had. I was interviewed by a VP. He started with an introduction and then asking questions like, "Have you heard of [insert blog here]?" He seemed awfully adamant about such specific blogs. Even though I had not heard of them I offered that I read some other tech blogs. He then grilled me about my resume (to be expected). He told me that he could make my portfolio site in 5 minutes. I could not believe that someone would seriously make such a rude comment during an interview. I had an IT position on my resume (you need to make $$ somehow, you know) and he ripped me apart for that. He seriously told me that I should have quit that job and just applied straight. I found the interviewer to be extremely arrogant, disrespectful, and unrealistic. People like this are exactly what is wrong with this field. If such a high ranking person in this company behaves like this, then I have serious doubts about Phone.com!
