I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Planet Fitness (Kingston, ON) in Aug 2024
Interview
Less than 30 minute interview. It was with the general manager. It started with icebreaker interview questions about introducing yourself and interests. Then transitions to company specific ones like asking if you have an interest in fitness, why I want to work for the company, ect. Then proceeds to situational questions. "What would you do if a member was upset about a billing issue?". Then had behavioral questions. "Tell me about a time when....". Then finished with availability, employee expectations, ect. Then asked if I had any questions. I used this time to ask about follow up/time line of when the decision on which candidate would be hired. Was thanked for coming in. I heard back in two days due to urgency of staffing levels as the time (someone quit without notice due to family situation). Onboarding was than began and simple.

Question 1
I was asked about my availability and customer service experience.
I received a quick 15-minute phone screening followed by meeting with the area and club managers. This all happened within about 2 weeks. I’d say the process was fairly typical to other similar positions.
