I interviewed for this position in January 2023.
The interview began with a quick screening from the recruiter where I was asked about my previous experience, what tools I used in my previous role, and why I would be a good fit for the role. Next was a discussion with the hiring manager where we discussed many of the same things, but in more detail.
The next part was an take home exercise where I was tasked with crafting 2 emails to a prospect. I completed the exercise, sent it back to the recruiter, and was ghosted. I emailed about 4 or 5 times to make sure they received it, and still didn’t hear back.
It’s now March 2023, and the job posting is still up, having been reposted almost 10+ times. I’m assuming this is a “ghost job” to give investors the impression that they are growing, or to keep a pool of potential applicants ready if someone quits.
If that is the case, that is super misleading and dishonest. Or if someone isn’t a good fit, let them know instead of ghosting them.
