      Workplace Experience Lead Interview

      Feb 14, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Prospa (Sydney) in Jan 2025

      Interview

The interview process was standard. The first stage was the screening call (45min - the longest I have experienced). The following steps were with the hiring manager and potential business partners. The TA was amazing and very informative. The people I interacted with were polite and easy to talk to. The second and third stage could have been joined in one, as I had to answer the same questions, but to a different person. The TA kept assuring me things were going well and affirmed I was their preferred candidate. In the end, I was not offered the role and the feedback was "you showed intention of growth and we need someone to stay in this role for 4 years." Although I appreciate the honestly as it really saves me and the company time/effort, it was frustrating because in the earlier stages of the interview the TA and hiring manager had indicated they wanted someone to commit to the role for 18 months. I wish they had told me from the beginning that they were looking for a longer commitment. The role is also advertised as hybrid on LinkedIn but that is not what they tell you in person. Overall, the people were nice to talk to, but it was not a transparent and clear process. The TA team is very good with how often they communicate to the candidate.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re really sorry to hear the process didn’t meet your expectations. We’re glad to hear you had positive interactions with our team and that our TA partner kept you well-informed throughout. That said, it’s clear we missed the mark on transparency around role expectations and timeline - and we agree that clarity from the outset is key. Your feedback is a helpful reminder of the importance of alignment across the full process, and we’ll use it to tighten up how we communicate role commitments and work arrangements moving forward. We really appreciate you calling this out, and we wish you all the best in your next opportunity.
