I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ProtoPixel (Barcelona) in Oct 2024
Interview
The hiring process began positively, with a thorough screening involving key team members. Although progressing to the next round took some time, the company remained responsive and kept me updated throughout. I eventually reached the final round, which included spending half a day on-site collaborating with team members on a frontend project.
While I understand and accept the outcome of the rejection, I was disappointed by the lack of detailed feedback. The response I received was a standard “we decided to move forward with another candidate” message, despite my specific request for constructive feedback on my performance.
I believe that candidates who make it to the final stages and invest significant time and effort deserve detailed, actionable feedback. While standard rejection messages are understandable for earlier rounds, they feel insufficient for final-round candidates. Providing thoughtful feedback would reflect positively on the company’s professionalism and commitment to candidate experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ProtoPixel (Barcelona)
Interview
Tuve 3 entrevistas, en general no podía decir nada malo.
Llegué a la instancia final del proceso, a hacer el ejercicio.
Me dijeron que me avisarían si quedara o si no, la semana siguiente. Nunca me contactaron. Les escribí y nunca me respondieron. Eso habla MUY mal de la empresa. Uno le dedica tiempo a aplicar y pasar por todo el proceso. Lo mínimo que pueden hacer es enviar (y peor, responder) un correo.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Sobre mi background, luego enseñarles el portfolio y por último, como última parte del proceso, hacer un white board challenge.

Interview
I had 2 out of the 3 interviews of the process. The first one was with the recruiter and the second one with the recruiter and the head of the department. The people who interviewed me were very nice and transparent when sharing information about the role and the potential career development. However, the process was very slow (I waited for 2 weeks on the first interview to receive an update and next steps and on the second one they never got back to me, which I thought was a bit rude considering they informed me that they would provide me with updates within the next week). I do understand that they're busy but nobody wants to chase people around asking for any news for weeks
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the first interview, all the questions are mostly to get to know you and your career expectations. On the second one, I remember they asked me about my knowledge of the industry and if I felt comfortable with the challenge of learning more technical-related topics required for the role
