Online numerical test, first round interview with a VP and an assessment centre (10 interviewees in total; involving a presentation pitch where you had to sell a company to potential investors, 2 rounds of interviews with MDs and a team case study involving all 10 people having to work together to decide on a topic to talk about from newspapers and then presenting your findings to an MD and VP).

Interview
A short series of online assessments, comprising of a verbal reasoning test, a numerical reasoning test, and a test of situational judgment.
Verbal reasoning test: looks at ability to draw conclusions from complex written information.
Numerical reasoning test: looks at ability to find and use numerical information in tables, charts and diagrams.
Situational-judgement task: involves responding to incoming messages in a mobile-messaging style format.
Took approximately 45 minutes to complete.
RBC interview process is comparable to those of other large firms. Technicals are straightforward. One should know the mechanics and rationale of basic valuation methodologies, along with fundamental accounting concepts. Interviewees met with three IB professionals.

Very standard. Online assessment, telephone interview, assessment centre. The process was a positive one and the interviewers were professional. Communication was good from RBC at all points up to the assessment centre. AC was virtual
