RPStaffing interview questions

I was contacted on LinkedIn by someone from RP Staffing about a position working in international development. This got my attention, because I was very much looking for a job in this field after graduating from my Master's program. (This all happened in 2019, but I am posting about it now.) They had a detailed description of what it would be like but did not name the organization. I went into their office for an interview, and the did a full bait and switch on me. I do not believe there ever existed a position for which they described, they just said what they needed to in order to lure me into their office. Instead, they wanted me to accept an entry-level job in a US-based academic organization. Totally unrelated to my career interests. I interviewed with two people - one younger woman was nice, but the other guy was just so rude and arrogant. He told me, "you don't want to work in international development. you should do this job instead." They also tried giving me a lesson about being careful not to burn any bridges in this city because everyone knows each other. After the interview was over, they began collecting my info and scanning my passport and such. I wish I would have just walked out of there instead of letting them take my information down. Please don't waste your time here. There are other, better staffing agencies in DC with employees who treat you with respect.

I was interviewed by two people even though that was not mentioned in prior conversations about the meeting. The second interviewer, Mr. Postow, was rude. He talked over me, tried to rush me when I was answering questions and tried to imply that it didn't make sense for me to be making a career change just because my current job wants to keep me. His tone and body langue were very abrasive. Furthermore, the job they reached out to me for and called me in to speak about on Monday was no longer "on the table" by the time of our meeting on Thursday. Yet, they didn't find it in my best interest to let me know about it. I believe they marketed that position to me just to get me in the door. Becasue when I mentioned it in the meeting to learn more about it, Mr. Postow brushed it off and waved his hand at me and said "It's a litte late for that job."
