My interview process took nearly two months and involved far too many steps. It began with an HR phone screening, followed by a “one-way” prerecorded interview, which I found disrespectful of my time. If you want to get to know a candidate, have the decency to interview them face to face.
Next was a typical zoom interview/ conversation with the direct manager. 4th round was a timed writing assignment, which felt like unpaid labor (writing an appeal letter for them) 5th round was a panel interview with six other people, normal and typical interview. Unfortunately after making it through 5 rounds of interviews they did not reach out again.
Although maybe it was for the best, since according to their own timeline there were still more interviews to go, plus reference checks.
Overall, the process was excessively long (took over two months from application to round 5) and included unnecessary and demeaning steps like the writing assignment and one-way recorded interview. The worst part was being ghosted after investing so much time and effort. Candidates deserve the basic courtesy of communicating that they were not selected.
I left the process feeling disrespected and that my time was disregarded.
