After submitting my resume, I received an invitation to speak with an AI chatbot so the recruiting team could "learn more about [me] beyond a resume and application." I didn't access the chat right away, but within a few hours, I was already receiving reminder messages telling me to complete this step. Very annoying. When I finally did, the chatbot essentially asked me to retype my resume by asking questions like "where did you work most recently?" and "do you have experience with x, y, z?" All of this information was in my resume. They mixed in a few cute questions like "what superpower would you choose?" but the whole thing was a colossal waste of time, and brought out no valuable information that was not included in my resume. It was insulting to have my time wasted like that, rather than just having a human being review the resume I had submitted. Awful experience.
