I was sent a long “personality profile” after applying, this was created by Red Bull. A person from the company reached out to me to do a Microsoft Teams interview. I provided availability and was scheduled, the person showed up late then asked prepared questions in which the answers were present on my resume, then asked if I drink Red Bull, followed the sports side, or media. The representative spent most of the time telling me about the company, free lunches, and team size. I asked questions that were specific to the job and the person did not have many answers, often deferring to “great question for hiring manager”, frequently. I was told that they would reach out to me later in the week about next steps. I waited 7 days when not hearing anything and contacted the person, they responded and said: “the hiring team has decided to pursue two other candidates for a final interview today. If something does not pan out from those, I can certainly circle back. I appreciate your patience throughout the process.” I then replied asking for feedback but got no reply; the person did send out an automatic rejection the next day. This was a poor candidate experience, if the person has too much on their plate, I get it, however there is no excuse for not keeping track of who l is in process and messaging them in a timely manner.
