A lengthy and unnecessary application process consisted of a Recruiter screen, an interview with a Product Marketing Manager, a Task, a Case study (Problem-Solving) interview, and a 45-minute Bar Raiser with interview prep sessions between each interview with the Recruiter. To start with the pros, there were several recruiters who scheduled interview preparation sessions between each stage to tell you about the next round and how to prepare for each interview. However, there were a significant number of red flags throughout the process. Firstly, I received a request for a recruiter screen two days after applying. I scheduled a time, but I had to reschedule the appointment. I quickly emailed the recruiter to reschedule, but I didn't hear a response. I chased multiple times until a few days before the interview, and then I escalated to the head of the department. I eventually had a recruiter screen and followed the multiple arduous steps throughout the process. The second flag is that I never received any concrete feedback throughout the process, including after spending extensive time on the task and even during the case study interview. Third flag: the role that I originally applied for was filled by my first interview, so I had no idea which role I would eventually be placed in. The fourth flag: I never met the hiring manager. Fifth flag: apart from the interview with the Product Marketing Manager, everyone I interacted with was cold and seemed relatively disinterested, including the Recruiter, which reflects the company culture. After the bar raiser, I received a generic rejection email with minimal feedback from a no-reply email address. If I didn't need a new job, I would never have subjected myself to the torture of this application process for a role or company culture like Revolut. After this experience, I cancelled my account subscription, so they lost not only a potential candidate but also a customer. I wish the company all the best, but I will not be applying to this company again.
